Valley of the Lost Souls

3 Day weekend coming up...F yes!! I'm telling you, we need to petition a flip on our weekend/weekday ratio...we should work 2 days a week...and have a 5 day weekend. I'm telling you there would be less violence and more babies LOL.

This past weekend, we traveled to San Angelo where we joined forces with our good friends Butcherwhite and the always Beautiful Brass Ovaries.

The Deadhorse is an amazing bar, and we love it everytime we go. Not so much loving the drive, but it's just like drinking a Mind Eraser (1/2 shot Kahlua® coffee liqueur
1/2 shot vodka, 1 shot Sprite® soda)...it's a means to an end.

So nothing going on this weekend with SSP...no shows anyways...

I feel my work with SSP is like an ol' hillbilly fishin...the more lines you throw in the water, the more fish you catch...however the more moonshine you drink the more lines you're going to forget...wait...this isn't going where I want it to.

What I'm saying is... I plant one seed...water it and move on...tend to it when needed and let it sit when needed...there that's better. So with that being said, at any moment that mammoth catfish could bite and jerk all our asses into the water and in the words of my Ol' Man...."Son that's a good problem to have".

So...enough SSP (I know you're saying..."Matt there's never enough SSP!!")...

I will be traveling back to WV for a wedding over 4th of July weekend and I can't wait. Get a break from the Texas heat and breathe that Sweet Mountain air. Now don't get me wrong, I love Austin and Texas for that matter, but WV will always be home. It will be good to get back and crack a few sodies on the back roads of the ol' Dub V!

Alright, well I'm gonna jet...got worlds to save with Rock N Roll...

Kick Start My Heart!!

Well...if you ain't living then you're dying and in the words of Josey Wales..."Dying ain't much of a living!"

This past weekend was about as intense as mixed drink from the devil. And believe you me....that's intense.

Friday we started @ Red eyed Fly, with record numbers. My Bday show was a success...I have uploaded tons of pics to my Facebook...SSP sites...but here's a few of my favorites!!

So...Friday night needless to say was amazing, and I thank everyone that came...and those that couldn't...I still love ya!!

Saturday we had a killer day on 6th Street, drinking cheap liquor and smoking cheaper cigs!! Saturday night was dinner @ Iguana Grill for the big 29 years old!!

And I don't care what you say...or where you're from...you can NEVER put a price on memories!!


So...what's next??

After drinking 90% of the Aquafina in Austin...:)...hitting the gym...and getting back to planet earth...it's just in time to shoot out West Texas to the Deadhorse in San Angelo. This place always prove to be one helluva time...great bar...great atmosphere, and great staff!! I urge you to load your car...stock up on the Motley Crue and hit the Road with SSP...remember our door is always open...but never closed.

This October marks 4 years for me in Austin...and I've had some wild times and met some unforgettable people. Sometimes my friends back home, ask me, "Matt...if you could do it all over again...the good times and the bad...would you change anything??"

My Response..."Not a DAMN THING!!"

No Remorse...No Regrets...I'll be catchin you soon Austin, as for the rest of Texas...Get your Mind right...here we COME!!!

Now if that doesn't slap ya in the kisser I don't know what does!! This is just a preview of what's going to be a killer album. "9 Kinds of Bad" I feel, is the next step in the evolution of SSP. Everything from Song structure to song content...I really think this album is gonna whip some ass!!
